Creativity Justified, a national, minority- and woman-owned advertising agency based in Mandeville, Louisiana, has been named a 2025 Louisiana Growth Leader by Louisiana Economic Development (LED). The award was presented at the 2025 Spotlight Louisiana Awards—the state’s premier event celebrating small businesses that exemplify Louisiana’s entrepreneurial spirit, commitment to excellence, and community impact.
This year’s Spotlight Louisiana Awards, held at the historic Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center, brought together leaders, partners, and small business champions from across the state. It marked the largest night of the year for recognizing small businesses in Louisiana, underscoring their critical role in the state’s economy.
Governor Jeff Landry applauded the honorees, saying,
“Louisiana’s small businesses represent what’s best about our state: risk-takers with perseverance, leaders with a vision, and employers who choose to grow right here, at home, in Louisiana.”
Creativity Justified’s story is a testament to that vision.
What began as a bold dream—founded by CEO Carrita Tanner-Cloud in a walk-in closet while she was seven months pregnant—has grown into a powerhouse agency that now serves clients such as the NFL, NBA, Ochsner Health, the State of Louisiana, BREC, NORD, and more. From cold-calling small businesses to leading national campaigns, Carrita and her team have proven that creativity, grit, and vision can defy the odds.
Today, Creativity Justified employs over 20 team members and contractors, spanning markets beyond Louisiana to include Texas, California, Indiana, and Georgia. Their work reflects a deep commitment to community, culture, and connection—whether they’re helping local small businesses grow or collaborating on high-profile projects like the NFL Source LIX for Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans.

Carrita reflects on the company’s journey:
“There’s no place I would have founded my agency than Louisiana. It’s home. We’re creatives, and as we saw with the Super Bowl, there’s no other city as creative as New Orleans. We just get it right.”
This recognition as a Louisiana Growth Leader is more than an award—it’s a symbol of what’s possible when passion meets purpose and when a small business dreams big while staying rooted in its community.
Creativity Justified stands proudly among the 2025 Louisiana Growth Leaders, a cohort of businesses that are expected to collectively employ over 1,000 people, generate $700 million in sales, and import over $400 million in new wealth into the state next year.
This moment is also a reminder of the broader mission that drives Louisiana’s small businesses forward. As LED Secretary Susan Bourgeois said,
“The companies honored through Spotlight Louisiana are proof that with the right support, small businesses can have global impact while remaining deeply rooted in their local communities.”
For Creativity Justified, the journey is just getting started. They’re more than an agency—they’re a community builder, a champion for women and minority-owned businesses, and a creative force shaping the future of marketing in Louisiana and beyond.
Congratulations to Carrita Tanner-Cloud and the entire Creativity Justified team on this well-deserved honor. Let’s continue to dream boldly, create fearlessly, and build a brighter future—right here in Louisiana.
